New Features

1. New Columns Visibility Settings in Views

2. More Options in View’s Data Composition

3. Create New Record from Record Selection Field

1. New Columns Visibility Settings in Views

Managing visible columns in the data tab in Views is improved, using the familiar popup similar to Advanced search. Additional formatting functionality for number and date fields is now available, allowing you to be more in control of how your data is displayed and to create more valuable tables and charts.

2. More Options in View’s Data Composition

Alchemy Views are more powerful! Now you’ll have a new level of flexibility when it comes to linking nodes in Data Composition, with the ability to explicitly select the node linking field and new ‘optional’ type of link. For example, if you want to see all application and characterization tests related to formulations,  you can choose the optional link for these records:

The result will be a dataset of all formulations, even if only one of the two test types have been performed ("or" and "and"). Before this update, you were only able to see formulations that had both application and characterisation testing performed.

In addition to these new functionalities, data-intensive view performance is improved and loading 10-20% faster!

3. Create New Record from Record Selection Field

We have introduced a small, but very significant and time-saving functionality to record reference fields. When linking data in one record to data in another record (for example, adding a Material to a Formulation or linking a Company to a Contact), sometimes the record where that data should reside does not yet exist in the system. You can save time and precious clicks by adding the new data in the new record right from the original record by clicking the "+" button in the drop down.
