Create a Test Method Record

Last Updated on:

Purpose

Test Methods are used in Alchemy to define any associated conditions, which are then used to perform defined trials in a Lab Book. There are two types of test methods available: Flexible and Strict.

Flexible test methods are used to measure the same properties under different conditions from process to process. Strict test methods are used to meet a standard where the test methods are tested under the same conditions each time, regardless of the process being tested.

This guide outlines how to create a new Test Method record. For more information regarding Test Method records, see our ELN + LIMS User Manual.

Note: Only users with the appropriate privileges can create a Test Method record. Contact your system administrator for more information.

Instructions

1. Click the + New  button in the blue system navigation panel and select Test Method from the list.

2. A Test Method record displays in a pop-up window.

3. Enter a unique Test Method Name in the field and complete the General Information section of the record.

  • Set the flexibility of the Test Method.
